If you’re in the Delaware Valley area of PA, there are quite a lot of free or low-cost shredding events during the spring and summer. Don’t you love that they’re called events? Makes it sound so festive.
This would be a good time to go through your papers. Put aside for shredding all confidential papers you no longer need.
Tax season is a fine time to get rid of old tax and financial records. (Be sure to check first with your financial advisor.) See Product of the Month below for a product to organize and store your income tax papers.

It’s a good idea to check any limitations such quantity or residency requirements. Note in your calendar the event you plan to attend. Add a backup event in case you miss the first one.
